The vessel carries 268 passengers (20 in First Class cabins & 248 in aircraft style, reclining seats), as well as cargo, both in containers (including reefers) and in bulk / break bulk form and livestock.

She is engaged on regular liner services between the islands of Mauritius , Reunion and Rodrigues.

Occasionally, calls are also organised to other islands / ports in the South-West Indian Ocean region as well as short day mini-cruises off the coast of Mauritius.

The ship is fully air-conditioned. Since 2001, she is backed up by the ms 'Mauritius Trochetia'
